California Tint Law
Many shades to choose from, including the California legal film for the front door windows which comes with a certificate of compliance.

The California law states that you may tint your rear side windows and the back window as dark or as light as you want as long as you have a rear view mirror on both sides of the vehicle. Your front driver and passenger door windows must have a minimum of 70% visible light transmission (VLT) with or without film. Most cars have a very slight factory tint integrated into the glass (approx.12% shading/88% VLT) which does little to block heat or harmful UV rays. Our 80% VLT film with high IR heat rejection combined with the minimal shading CURRENTLY in the factory glass will be below the legal limit of 70% VLT required by law. The Tint Pros provides you with a certificate of compliance along with your warranty card and care instructions.

Ceramic technology is the newest development in the Formula One program. It was designed to eliminate the reception problems created by many new cars manufactured with radio and GPS antennas integrated into the rear window. The Formula One "Pinnacle Series" is the only true ceramic automotive window film available today.

Although films containing metal provide a high amount of heat rejection they often interfere with AM radio and navigation signals. Prior to ceramic technology, the only option was a dye-based film offering no interference, but lacking any significant heat rejection.

With ceramic technology and the new Pinnacle Series, customers get the best of worlds, no radio or navigation interference with double the heat rejection of a standard dyed film.
